I photograph the moments that matter — the quiet connection, the steady love, the interactions that define your family. The season you’re living right now deserves to be documented with honesty and intention.

It’s time we preserve it.

Photographer. Mother. Storyteller.

I’ve always loved photography, but I never expected it to become my calling. Like many meaningful paths, mine was shaped by both what I experienced and what I struggled through.

After the birth of my second daughter, I walked through severe postpartum depression. It was a season that stole more than joy — it stole clarity and memory. There are pieces of those early days I cannot fully recall, and that reality changed me. During that time, I felt a strong pull toward photographing newborns. Looking back, I can see God’s hand in it. He placed photography on my heart when I didn’t yet understand how deeply I would need it.

Photography became a way of holding onto what felt fragile. It gave form to moments that might otherwise blur. That season shaped how I see mothers now. I understand how overwhelming the early years can be, and I know how important it is to preserve them — not just because they are beautiful, but because sometimes they are hard. The images we create become anchors. They help you remember what love looked like, even when the season itself felt heavy.

How it Began

Photography found me in one of my hardest seasons, and now, I use it to preserve the beauty in yours.

I believe God works within every season, especially the hard ones. Wrestling through my own challenges has given me a deeper empathy for mothers navigating pressure, exhaustion, and the weight of responsibility.

I make almost all of our food from scratch.
Partly because I care deeply about what goes into our bodies, and partly because once you start paying attention to ingredients, it’s hard to look away. Feeding the people I love is one of the most tangible ways I care for them, and I genuinely enjoy the precision and experimentation that happens in the kitchen.

I grew up out in the country, where riding horses was simply a way of life. I spent my days training and competing, learning discipline, patience, and a deep respect for the connection between horse and rider.

Now I get to watch that same love take root in my daughters. They’ve been horse-crazy since they were little and are beginning to find their own rhythm in the saddle — a quiet, full-circle reminder of how the things that shape us often carry forward.

Beyond the Camera

"Our lives are a compilation of millions of moments- some we vividly remember, some we dread thinking about, some make us smile, laugh and cry. But it's the tiny beautiful and authentic milliseconds that we miss in the moment- but the camera catches, that has the ability to take us right back to that season in our journey. They are the details that bring everything together."

"Each time it amazes me that Elaina captures the pictures she does! At our family picture session my daughter was not being the smiley baby you want in your family pictures but Elaina still caught them between cries! She is super sweet and easy to work with, she knows what she's doing and gives guidance for posing! I highly recommend her and can't wait to continue to have her catch all these wonderful memories for my little family!"
