I photograph the real, raw, tender and authentic moments that truly mean everything. The chapter you are in on your journey is right where you are meant to be, and it’s beautiful.
It’s time we document it.
I’ve always loved photography, but I never expected to become a photographer. Like most people, my journey was shaped by experiences—both the ones I had and the ones I lacked. Motherhood changed my entire perspective on life, but it was during one of my hardest seasons that my career truly began.
In the depths of severe postpartum depression after my second daughter, Carly, I felt an overwhelming pull to take photos—not just for myself, but for others. Newborns, in particular, seemed to call my name. At the time, I thought it was simply because I had a newborn (and a one-year-old) of my own. But looking back, I can see God’s hand in it all.
He placed photography on my heart at a time when I didn’t realize how much I needed it. And now, I understand—sometimes, these moments we capture are the only way a mother can remember those early years.
I homeschool my two daughters, which means our days are a mix of structure, chaos, and a lot of learning together. Faith is a big part of how I teach, and I love weaving classic literature into our lessons—Anne of Green Gables is a favorite around here!
I make almost all of our food from scratch—partly because I love real, wholesome ingredients and partly because I can’t un-see what’s in most packaged food. 😅
I grew up out in the country, where riding horses was just a way of life. I spent my days training, competing, and learning the ins and outs of horsemanship—and probably more time on horseback than on solid ground. Those years taught me discipline, patience, and a deep love for the connection between horse and rider.
I love everything to do with self-sufficiency and preparedness. There's something extremely satisfying to me about running into a problem while out and about and knowing that I have the skills (and tools) to overcome most obstacles. Food prep is the same... canning, preserving, raising and harvesting are things that make me feel fulfilled.
"Our lives are a compilation of millions of moments- some we vividly remember, some we dread thinking about, some make us smile, laugh and cry. But it's the tiny beautiful and authentic milliseconds that we miss in the moment- but the camera catches, that has the ability to take us right back to that season in our journey. They are the details that bring everything together."

"Each time it amazes me that Elaina captures the pictures she does! At our family picture session my daughter was not being the smiley baby you want in your family pictures but Elaina still caught them between cries! She is super sweet and easy to work with, she knows what she's doing and gives guidance for posing! I highly recommend her and can't wait to continue to have her catch all these wonderful memories for my little family!"

I had such an incredible time with Elaina this morning at the Tulip Festival. She made shooting at 5:45 in the morning so FUN! She’s incredibly easy to work with, has a speedy turn around process, and is truly just a ray of sunshine. I cannot wait to work with her again
